OPPORTUNITY:
Opportunity is very good at hiding! Oftentimes it is like looking for a needle in a haystack. If you’re not looking for it, you would never know it’s there.

Other times Opportunity will jump right out in front of you! Many times we are so engulfed in our daily lives, in drama or worry, or focusing on some struggle we’re going through, that we don’t even see an opportunity staring us right in the face.

The most successful people in the world are the people who are always looking for opportunity, especially where no one else would even think to look!

Obstacles and frustrations can be a source of innovation and new ideas.

Step back and look at your business. Write down your frustrations and the obstacles that you think are holding you back. Write down what ‘bugs’ you about your business. How can you use that to find a solution, a new idea, or new opportunity?

If you can keep an open mind and resist the temptation to focus on the negative, and really look at what is causing those frustrations, you just might find an opportunity hiding there that will change everything about the way you look at your business.

Opportunity can also sometimes be created by you! What is YOUR dream? If you could do anything at all with your current business, or a completely different business, what would it be? ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! You just have to keep an open mind, open up your heart to the universe… LISTEN, LOOK, and CREATE OPPORTUNITIES.

There is an opportunity with every person you meet.

NETWORKING definitions:
1. the exchange of information or services among individuals, groups, or institutions; specifically : the cultivation of productive relationships for employment or business
2. Creating a group of acquaintances and associates and keeping it active through regular communication for mutual benefit. Networking is based on the question “How can I help?” and not with “What can I get?”

Most people I’ve seen in networking groups have a different idea as to what networking means.
How many times have you attended a networking event and gave out a ton of business cards, only to go home and received emails and phone calls from people who want to sell you their ‘stuff’. Think about it…every person at those events wants to sell something. They don’t go there to find things to ‘buy’ or get annoying sales calls and emails. Do you?

When you go home with that giant stack of business cards, think of every one of those cards as an opportunity; like a scratchier lottery ticket. One of them might just be the winning ticket that could give you the opportunity to change your life. Every one of the cards is a winner, and some you might have to scratch a little deeper, but it might just be worth the effort.

CHALLENGE: Go through your data base of people and look closely at who they are and what business they are in.
How could that business somehow fit with yours? It’s like a puzzle. You might have to twist and turn them a little, but they just might fit together perfectly. It might also help you find other puzzle pieces that could fit together to create the edges of a much bigger picture.
